Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lodestar AI (“Lodestar AI”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit getlodestar.ai and request early access.

1. Who we are

Lodestar AI is the data controller for personal information collected through getlodestar.ai. We are based in Quebec, Canada. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@getlodestar.ai.

2. Legal bases (where GDPR applies)

  • Consent — analytics and marketing cookies; optional marketing emails after app registration.
  • Contract / pre-contract steps — processing your email to manage early access and send waitlist confirmations.
  • Legitimate interests — securing our site (e.g. Cloudflare Turnstile) and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information by law.

3. Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you request early access, we collect your email address.
  • Usage & device data. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to collect analytics such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate region, browser and device type. IP addresses are anonymized.
  • Attribution data. With your consent, campaign parameters (UTM tags), referrer, and approximate location may be stored to understand how visitors find us.
  • CRM sync. If you join the waitlist or create an account, we sync your contact details to HubSpot to manage onboarding and communications.
  • Security data. To protect forms from abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process limited technical signals to verify you are human.

4. How we use your information

  • To manage early access and send you a confirmation and launch updates.
  • To understand and improve our site (analytics), where you have consented.
  • To secure the site and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

5. Cookies & analytics

Essential cookies are required for the site to function and are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and only set if you accept them. You can change your choices anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal or enables Global Privacy Control, we do not load Google Analytics and you cannot enable analytics or marketing cookies until that signal is off.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers — including Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, bot protection), Google Analytics (Google LLC, traffic analytics), and HubSpot (CRM and lifecycle communications) — under appropriate safeguards.
  • Authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your province or country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.

8. Data retention

Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for early access. Analytics data in Google Analytics is retained per Google’s settings (typically up to 14 months). HubSpot contact records are retained while you have a relationship with us or as required by law. You can request deletion at any time.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Quebec’s Law 25, Canada’s PIPEDA, and the EU/UK GDPR where applicable), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to withdraw consent, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a regulator (e.g. the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local EU supervisory authority). 11. Children

The site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
